Basketball 2012-2013

State Championship Bound?

    The Community R-6 Trojans and Lady Trojans had a pretty successful basketball season. The boys finished the season 19-5 while the girls finished 15-8. The boys started the season off with a loss against Mark Twain but bounced back beating Madison and went on a six-game winning streak. In the six-game winning streak, they got wins against Wright City, Monroe City, Van Far twice, and Clopton. Their winning streak was snapped 2nd round of the Madison Tournament to Salisbury.

Homecoming

Trojan Royalty

    At Community R-VI we have a different way of doing things. Since we do not have a football field or a football team we have our Homecoming during basketball season, whereas most schools call it court warming. Our Homecoming was held on February 8, 2013 against the Silex Owls. Every year each class picks a boy and a girl to be their class candidates.

Black History Month

Black History Month

    Why do we celebrate Black History Month? People in the United States take this month to honor African Americans who have changed our society for the better, such as Martin Luther King Jr. Families, schools, and communities have different activities to inform others about how the African Americans wouldn’t have the rights that they do today if they didn’t take a stand against our government.
